Trusting and Waiting

My Bibles footnoe in Micah says, "Choosing to live a life apart from God is amking a commitment to sin. Sin leads to judgement and death. God alone shows us the way to eternal peace. His discipline often keeps us on the right path."
We have a choice! Life or death-Christ or Satan. We can only serve one master! On the subject of discipline....it is priceless. I am not as disciplined as I should be and am not trying to lead anyone to believe I am more disciplined than I really am. I am beng honest to all and before my Maker-to whom I am soley responsible to. I am not out to impress anyone. I do not claim to have attained it all.... I am praying that God will send some godly friends to me to help hold me accountable. However, I am learning over and over that I only need Him (its a lesson we have to continue to rest in). People will let you down---God never will! Whatever it takes-I must spend quality time seeking after God---DAILY and time in prayer DAILY-
Lord as I seek after you, not friends, position or influence, power, honor, recognition,accountability...but, as I seek after you....help me to not be sidetracked. Help me to use your time wisely and to the fullest. Help me to balance my personal time with you along with my full time job, my family, and sleep. Help me to walk away from ungodly motives, conversations, situations, and the likes. Help me to rest in you, wait for and with you, trust in you, and be in awe of you. I long for your closeness...be near to me and help me to be near to you!

Passion in Christ

I really need to memorize 2 Corinthians 6:8-13 so I can use it as armor when Satan and others (including myself) are trying to bring me down. Anyone want to join me? Even when I am not going through a major hardship, these verses can speak volumes to me. Lord, help me to not to complain or dwell in sorrow...."take heart, I have overcome the world." Please show my family where you'd have us go as we seek to know you and make you known. Encourage us and use us to encourage others. Help us to see you in every situation and to rejoice even when we are sorrowful, uncertain, and confused. Thank you for loving us!

Boldness in Christ

Galatians 2:11-"When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong." (read the surrounding verses) That's bold. Not just anyone could do that....it wouldn't mean the same coming from someone that wasn't a believer acting in obedience to Christ---or someone who was just griping because of their own personal opinion! I think we all need a Paul in our lives...someone who is bold for Christ, can point out our strengths and weaknesses in Christ, and who in love and out of devotion to Christ, can correct us when we are in the wrong.Correction isn't always easy to take or fun either----but it is oh so priceless!

FREEDOM In CHRIST

I am amazed at and encouraged by the boldness of Paul! I just want to sit in the first chapters of Galatians and take it all in. I have (for too long) allowed circumstances, the church, and others to bring me down (not morally-but emotionally and spiritually). No one is to blame but myself. I am thankful for my husband and those from my past that have modeled spiritual disciplines and have lived their lives with a strong passion for Christ. I have been waiting on God to send some people like that into my life....and haven't been focused on living my own life passionately for Him. How'd that happen? too busy and not as disciplined as I should be. Thank you God for never leaving me, for seeing me through everything, and for having a personal relationship with me! Help me to not forget that it is not about me but it's all about you-Your message that lives in me! NOW that's powerful!

....Yes 4 hoots...it is amazing that 1 God has a plan for our lives and 2 He is fully capable of carrying out those plans....if we will submit our lives to Him and seek Him daily. I am just amazed at the level of boldness of some of the biblical characters....you just don't see boldness like that today. Working in a secular field, it is tough to balance love and boldness. I just need to stop trying to balance them myself and just be obedient and let God balance it for me.
